During my tour of Northern Virginia thrift stores (see here) with my best friend Mere on Saturday, we came across a pineapple dish.  Pineapples are everything right now and dishes like this are selling for around $30!  I snagged this one for $3- a real steal- and had immediate plans to upcycle it.

Reuse an object in such a way as to create a product of a higher quality or value than the original.

• Thrifted dish
• Food safe gold paint

1. Clean thrifted dish thoroughly.
2. Allow to dry completely.
3. Using food safe gold paint, paint dish.
4. Allow to dry completely.

• $3 pineapple dish
• $6 for a can of spray paint (I had this on hand)

Total:  $3-9 dollars
