Message from Maggie:  I took my best friend Mere on my tour of Northern Virginia thrift stores on Saturday (see here for details).  I continued my quest for picnic baskets (see here and here) and bought two more to serve as gifts.  Please find below instructions for an ombre tasseled version.

Materials:

• Picnic Basket
• Three embroidery flosses in three shades of the same color

Instructions:

1. Thrift or purchase a picnic basket.
2. Create three tassels using the tutorial here.
3. Using the long strings tie onto the picnic basket.

• Embroidery floss: $1.50
