Message from Maggie:  We are going to a BBQ at a friends new house this weekend.  Taking advice from George and Mary Bailey from Its a Wonderful Life, I put together a housewarming gift of bread, wine, and salt.

Mary Bailey: “Bread so that this house may never know hunger.  Salt so that life may always have flavor.”
George Bailey: “Wine that joy and prosperity may reign forever.”

Recommendations: 

1. Card:  Get a house warming card and include the movie quote from along with some personal words from you.
2. Bread:  I typically pick up a nice loaf at a bakery but this time I was making a batch of banana bread so used that instead.
3. Wine:  Include your favorite wine- ours is from a friends vineyard in New Zealand called Ten Sisters.  Read their story and try them out!
4. Salt:  Include a container of sea salt or kosher salt.

Depending on the cost of the wine you chose you can make this a very affordable and thoughtful gift.
