- bridal shower, forks, place card holders
Message from Maggie: I am hosting a bridal shower for a friend next weekend. I wanted to use this opportunity to tell you about the vintage forks we used as place card holders at my wedding (again!) and show you how you can create cute place cards.
What you need:
- Cardstock
- Corner punch
- Bride stamp
- Stamping ink
- Printer
- Clear stickers
- Fork
- Pliers
Instructions:
- Cut yardstick into rectangles.
- Using corner punch, punch each corner of cardstock.
- Stamp left side of cardstock.
- Print names on clear stickers.
- Place stickers on cardstock.
- Using a pliers, bend the two center tines backwards.
- Using a pliers, bend the bottom of the outside tins upwards.
- Place forks on table in back of each place setting and place cardstock on the bent forks.
Cost:
- I had cardstock, stamp, stickers, and forks on hand.
- My sweet dad bent about 200 forks for my wedding to serve as place card holders so I had these, but you can find them at the thrift for about 25 cents a fork.
- You can get a stamp at PaperSource for around $4.
- These Avery clear stamps are around $10.
