Materials:

• 1/2″ wooden dowel 
• Dowel caps with 1/2″ hole
• 1.5″ wood rings
• Miter box and saw
• Non-toxic wood glue
• Non-toxic grey milk paint
• Non-toxic white milk paint

1. Cut your dowels down to the size you want your rattle (I cut mine down to about 4.5″.) 
2. Sand down and clean with a cloth. 
3. Paint however many of your rings you want with the milk paint and let dry. 
4. Assemble your rattles by sticking a dowel cap on one end with a dab of wood glue inside. Place four rings on the dowel and do the same with the other end.
