Message from Maggie:  A friend recently told me that she doesn’t buy pineapples because cutting them is intimidating!  Here is a quick tutorial to get you motivated for your next trip to the produce aisle.

Instructions:

1. Cut the crown (top) off.
2. Cut the bottom off.
3. Stand the pineapple on one end, and cut the pineapple in half.
4. Cut each half in half again.
5. Slice the skin off the sides, going from top to bottom cutting as thinly as possible to leave as much fruit flesh as possible.
6. Cut the core out if you like-  it is edible but can be tough.
7. Cut the pineapple into slices.
8. Store in a tupperware container and enjoy for 3-4 days.
