Maggie’s Menu: Easter Chocolate Covered Strawberry Carrots
Message from Maggie:
Its Easter and with all the food prep for our meal I wanted an easy dessert. There is nothing easier and more delicious than chocolate covered strawberries. I created these orange ones for the Easter theme and the green stems make them look like carrots.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of Strawberries
- 1 bag of white chocolate chips
- Red and yellow food coloring
Instructions:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Add chocolate over double boiler and stir until melted.
- Add red and orange food coloring to the melted chocolate until the correct orange color is achieved.
- Dip each strawberry into the chocolate leaving the stem uncovered. then place the dipped strawberry on the baking sheet.
- Place the tray into the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens; approximately 15 minutes.
- Refrigerate again until ready to serve.
Yields about 15-20 strawberries
