Message from Maggie:

Its Easter and with all the food prep for our meal I wanted an easy dessert. There is nothing easier and more delicious than chocolate covered strawberries.  I created these orange ones for the Easter theme and the green stems make them look like carrots.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of Strawberries
  • 1 bag of white chocolate chips
  • Red and yellow food coloring

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Add chocolate over double boiler and stir until melted.
  3. Add red and orange food coloring to the melted chocolate until the correct orange color is achieved.
  4. Dip each strawberry into the chocolate leaving the stem uncovered. then place the dipped strawberry on the baking sheet.
  5. Place the tray into the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens; approximately 15 minutes.
  6. Refrigerate again until ready to serve.

Yields about 15-20 strawberries
