Maggie’s Menu: Acai Cherry Smoothie
Message from Maggie:
In addition to being the main ingredient in those beautiful acai (ah-sigh-ee) bowls, you can use the frozen packets to create delicious smoothies. For starters, try this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen acai packet
- 1 medium banana, peeled and quartered
- 1 cup frozen dark cherries
- 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon of unsalted natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Instructions:
- Run frozen acai packet under warm water.
- Open acia packet and add to blender.
- Place all remaining ingredients in a blender and blend until creamy, adding more almond milk or frozen cherries to thin or thicken.
