Message from Maggie:
It is my friend Jamie’s birthday and I wanted to do something special for her because I will be out of town + miss her celebration. Using the tutorial brought to you by the oh-so creative folks at Oh Happy Day, I created these adorable gum drop ice cream cone cupcakes. Check out their full tutorial, beautiful photos + other happy stuff here!
Materials:
- Large gum drops
- Food-safe scissors
- Wooden skewers (Note: I used 3 inch)
- Brown craft paper (Note: I used brown cupcake liners folded in half)
- Scissors
- Double-stick tape
- Little round candies (Note: I used Red Hots)
Instructions:
- Choose two large gum drops, cut the top 1/3” off one.
- Skewer the cut one, then place a whole one on top.
- Fold a brown cupcake liner in half and then twist into a cone shape, and secure with a tiny bit of double stick tape.
- Put the paper cone under the gum drops (you may need to snip the bottom of the cone in order to make it fit around the stick).
- Snip a tiny piece off the top gum drop.
- Place a “cherry” on top with one of the tiny candies.
