Message from Maggie: Mr. Magpie planned a 1st anniversary trip to Lake Champlain in Vermont. I was blown away at how wonderful and weird Burlington was! It is a little city with a college town complete with water access and a great food scene. What could be better? I was sold and wishing we stayed longer. Here are my recos for 48 hours in Burlington.
Restaurants:
- Coffee at Lucky Next Door
- Breakfast at The Skinny Pancake
- Lunch at Penny Cluse
- Drinks at Breakwaters Cafe + Grill
- Dinner at Hen of the Wood
Adventure:
- Take a ferry ride from Charlotte, VT to Essex, NY
- Hike Split Rock Mountain
- Shop at the cute boutiques on Church Street such as Monells where pedestrians rule
- Dance at Rasputin’s
